Hidenwood is a well established Newport News neighborhood located off Warwick Boulevard, just west of Christopher Newport University. It is mainly comprised of well-built, medium to large sized ranch and two story homes constructed between 1940 and 1970 but with some newer homes interspersed. The diversity in the size of Hidenwood homes means that the neighborhood appeals to homebuyers shopping in a fairly wide range of price points. Though Hidenwood homes tend to be older, many have been updated to modern standards. 

Residents of Hidenwood enjoy very convenient access to shopping at Hidenwood shopping center, as well as highly acclaimed Harris Teeter grocery store just across Warwick Boulevard. Happenings on the campus of CNU and the Mariners’ Museum are always right around the corner from home. Newport News’ newest shopping area, Tech Center, as well as Interstate 64 access are also just minutes away.

Beyond the immediate boundaries of Hidenwood is a number of other neighborhoods including James Landing, Beverly Hills, Woodmere, Merry Point Estates, Chapel Park, and others. Based on data input at different real estate brokerages, some homes in these outlying neighborhoods may very well end up in a search for Hidenwood properties but some may not. Rest assured, all properties available in the MLS can be seen on this site but a different search may be needed to focus on these outlying areas.
